Fans of The Philippine Azkals especially of Neil Etheridge will surely be happy to see Azkals’ goalkeeper playing in the field again. Neil Etheridge, PH Azkals first choice goalkeeper, has already confirmed that he will be playing in the friendly match of Philippines Azkals against Malaysia on February 29.
Azkals vs Malaysis friendly match will be held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila. The match will be the final tune-up game for Azkals team for this year's AFC Challenge Cup in Nepal.
Malaysia is currently 150th in the FIFA world rankings and will be defending their 2010 Suzuki Cup. While the Azkals, is currently ranked 156th in the FIFA standings and have stunned Asian football followers when they made it to the semi-final stage of the 2010 Suzuki Cup.
For Neil Etheridge, it will be a stern test to see how far the Azkals team has progressed since their last tournament.
"It will be a massive test for us to see where we stand at the moment. Obviously getting to the semi-finals two years ago was a massive achievement for us and we want to continue progressing and making steps in the right direction,” said Neil Etheridge.
